However, if I choose comfort, it will disable ASS.
And since I have the Function Memory turned off, it will default back to ASS being turned on, the next time I get into the car if I -shut- the car off with Comfort Mode on last use.
I don't think there is a coding that will auto turn it off each and every cold start ?
Easy - even for a first timer like me. Starts up always in sportMode now. Mileage about the same as eco on my highway drive.

Prior to the coding Adaptive seemed a bit more plush riding. Now it seems firmer. It could be my imagination but that it what it feels like.I'll have to check Bimmercode but I have ASS disabled in 2 fields

2020540 wroteAll G05's have dynamic dampers that adjust with the drive mode. The xLine and MSport suspensions use the exact same hardware, the only difference is tuning. 1) Does coding these options come anywhere close to messing with the warranty? I'm interested in some changes, but not if the dealer can find out.
2) I do actually like the stop/start function but sometimes want it off for a few days, is there a way to have it behave like the old method, where it remembers you've pressed it between shut-offs, I assume that's what the "memory" setting is?
Best suggestion I can say is just make sure you do it on a fully charged batter.
Also OBD - via hardwire faster. Speed/faster = less time on battery drain. So do OBD-Wired (mobile device or iPad of your choosing)
2). Yes. On the 1st setting, it will save it's last state. So on next cold start, ASS will remain off if it was *off* from previous state

mikekay wroteYeah, they zapped the ASS On/Off button on the center console somewhere in the 2021 model year. They added new hardware for the gen/starter and 48v battery to support the ever constant ASS. I have to say, they did a great job, if you are not really paying attention, you don't hear or feel it shut off or restart.wait what they removed the button to disable it? so fail worst feature ever poor starters

2. There is no way to make it remember the last state since the button is gone. When the button was first removed some folks coded theirs to remember and then set it to Sport to turn it off. It came back on with a restart.
chefwong wroteDepends on what you code. Let's take a very simple one for example. I coded mine to flash the turn signals 5 times instead of the default 3. So if I had my car at the dealers for service and they drove it and used the turn signals, they "might" catch the fact that its not at the OEM default and hence, must be coded. On my MB G550, I disconnected the charge current sensor on the main battery negative terminal. This makes the ASS system believe that the battery charge state won't support starting, so it suspends ASS. Don't know if this works for BMW, but if I get a s/w update that resets ASS, I'll try this before re-Bimmercoding it off again.
