Yah, i used bimmercode.
I just followed his instructions and used his parameters. It closes kinda like a soft close door i had on my f15 now.
Can you explain how to do this using BimmerCode?

I’m pretty certain we access Expert Mode in the tailgate module

I followed the instructions that TheNine90's user avatarTheNine90 posted in this thread, the last two sets of parameters are his settings which works perfectly!

You will find the parameter settings in expert mode, i think there are only 6 sets of hex numbers that you need to change.

You change the hex on 3011 (top tailgate) and 3072 (botton tailgate). Ill take some screenshots for you later if needed.

Bimmercode HKFM tailgate module, go to expert mode look for the code and apply them

ProfileCloseStartNode2PosPlg Werte=00, 32

I am going to take a look at this for X6M and see if the codes are similar since I do not have the split tailgate.

The X6 only has 3011 APPL_PLG_SPEED_PROFILE, 64(Top tailgate) and only uses Node1 and Node2.
So it should be same method. However the values are diffrent. You can multiply the pwm parameters by a constant like 0.25 or 0.5 then modify the posplg values.

Thank you TheNine90's user avatarTheNine90 for the soft-close code! It works great (but I had to make 1 minor adjustment for the upper liftgate).

For those of us that had adjusted the threshold knobs on the sides of the hatch to eliminate the hatch rattles, you might have to make a single adjustment to account for the extra force required to close the hatch properly:

ProfileCloseStartNode1PwmPlg = wert00,XX

where XX = 40 to 45 (as in wert00,41)

I had originally used wert00,3E (as per TheNine90's code) but the hatch did not lock fully and left a gap, then it opened right back up. I changed to wert00,41 and it closes and locks perfectly.

If you want to make it a bit softer, change ProfileCloseStopNode1PwmPlg = wert00,YY

where YY = 8C to 96

Thank you - this is exactly what I was looking for as mine wouldn’t lock fully and open about a quarter way back as if it was detecting an obstruction. It’s because I put felt tape on those metal guides sticking of the hatch since adjusting the bump stops didn’t help with rattle. So, I assume more force is needed for the tailgate to close to overcome the friction from the felt tape. I’ll try to your suggestion and report back.

If it keeps popping back up, you might want to increase that XX value. TheNine90's value is wert00,3E and the default value is wert00,FA so you have plenty of room to go.

Hey, I'm the newbie here. Could someone share the detailed instruction how to programming in expert mode? I saw some videos but in this case I'm stucked a bit.
For example code ProfileCloseStartNode1PwmPlg Werte=00, 3E
But I can't find that "Werte" string. Here is what I see: https://imgur.com/a/pXeGTSO

I think you'd have to click on 'custom value' then enter it there...the menu is just giving you some default values they feel work. The check mark indicates the current value.
12-16-2023
Yeah, you're right but firtstablei have to choose any of that"wert's". That's why I asked for some video or images process.

I dont use bimmercode but if you have ENET cable and windows laptop i can do it for you remotely

Thanks a lot! Your kindness is appreciated, and it would be wonderful, but I'd prefer to learn how to control it independently. I don't want to rely on others all the time. While adjusting trunk speed seems straightforward with everyone in this thread succeeding, I'm having trouble editing those variables.

Has anyone done this with the X6M? if so, what values are you using?

Having some problems how to use the custom values in Bimmer Code.
ProfileCloseStartNode1PwmPlg Werte=00, 3E

So in custom value the first line is Byte 0 0x00
The second line is Byte1 is that the box to be changed to 3E?

I appreciate you letting me know; I was getting lost and had to restore with back-ups. The soft close works perfect and I truly hope Bimmercode makes this a standard front page code.

Thank you TheNine90 very much for showing the code for us G05 drivers. I think you are the only one that posted this information for the G05.

However, looks you are banned member. Wish you the best!
