I am having trouble adjusting to the sport mode suspension or lack of on the 2024 X5 sDrive40i. How do these links work on a 2024 X5 sDrive40i?

Lowering links installed.
Just some photos for compare.
Thx r33_RGSport for links and good instructions.

Did you install at recommended heights? Or a little lower

My rear BBM link got disconnected, car threw a chassis code, the packaged M6x35mm threaded rods are not long enough. I went ahead and bought a set of M6x50mm threaded rods from Amazon and then used a Dremel to cut them to 42mm.

How do you clear the chassis code?
PSA to everyone using the BBM links, I too lost a link (left front) this week. Make sure to do regular visual inspections to see if they're backing out.

You M50i guys are lucky to be able to accomplish this with your air ride. I installed MSS adjustable lowering springs to my X5M and it still doesn't go as low... I guess my next step is having to go to KWs 😬

It should be 1.25” lower from stock.
If you are going with KW, I do suggest the coilover.
Installed a few KW HAS locally, it doesn’t ride as good as MSS.

Has anyone needed to lower their headlight beam after install? I've been getting 'flashed' by oncoming traffic more frequently.

Does this improve the handling or is it just an asthectical thing?

It's really more aesthetic since the valving of the shocks is determined by the mode it's in but it definitely has less travel when it's lower so bumps are much more stiffer.

Thanks. Do you think it improves the handling? Less roll?

Thank you so much for this post! So much help! Just did mine!

One inch drop all round
Perfect stance ! Do you have spacers ?

I’ve had my RGSport_USA links for couple months now, I just didn’t have the time to do it. Installed it with Future Classic spacers, 12F/15R.

Yes I would say you for sure need spacers when even if you don’t lower it.

Can’t remember the size I had here since now I have hamman arches and bigger spacers.

r33_RGSport's user avatarr33_RGSport have you had any scenarios where the height of the car keeps changing after the links have been installed ?

I have a set of mode concept links installed and the height keeps changing (2024 X5 M60i). Car is currently leaning as its lower on one side. All links are hand tightened appropriately with a spanner.

Thinking of swapping them out for a set of your ones.

No, I never had such an issue.
Is it only lowering on 1 side? Does it go back up to even when you start the car?

So overall the car has lowered as part of the mode links install. After driving around for a few days is when it seems to become lower on one side.
At time of install, the car is even.

What’s also strange is. On the side that is low. It ranges from 710mm to 690mm. So the low side can get even lower. It doesn’t stay at 710mm. Im not sure if the other side exhibits the same behaviour but I haven’t noticed it.

You may want to check your air suspension.
Could be set to low and damage the air suspension.

Can you please elaborate what you mean by “set to low and damage the air suspension?”

Do you mean I could damage it if I put in park mode? At the moment it won’t let me get to park mode. I get the chassis error. This would be when it sits at 690mm (I think).

I’ve got a set of your links coming with install on Tuesday. I’m hoping this fixes it.

Sounds like your links setting is set for too much of a drop.
Most likely your air suspension is damaged, that’s what I think is the cause of one side is lower than the other.

Thanks for clarifying. I hope that’s not the case but I will test with the original links if the problem persists after I trial your ones.
