It looked so good I went ahead and ordered one. Was there any additional drilling or just factory holes and 3m tape?

Did you use the provided screws for the center portion or just the double sided tape. The shop I went to didn't use the screws and the middle portion flew off on the highway.
Yes I used provided 2 screws for the center portion and 3m tape. No issues on the highway, holds very good

You have to drill two little holes in the middle and use provided 2 screws and 3m tape. For the rest you just use existing holes and screws.
Also get a Plastic Rivet Gun Set just in case if you damage existing rivets.

Also don't remove all rivets, only those that you need to install with front lip. Here is the video how to remove them :

After that you can put back existing one or new ones if you have a Plastic Rivet Gun Set.

No drilling required, you use the factory bolt holes, and 3M tape. I would recommended replacing the tape they supply with a higher grade 3M tape.

Looks great.

i'd put 2 self-tappers in each section of that lip. If you do the occasional blast to triple digits, the downforce on it will be substantial.

Hi, I’d like to ask about the front lip installation. Did you replace the 6 original mounting screws with longer ones since the added lip increases the thickness?
If so, could you please share the exact screw size or part number you used?

The lip came with longer 10mm factory-like screws to replace the original factory screws. The lip uses the factory holes to mount and double sided tape to secure its front end to the bumper. I did place the supplied 4 small self-tapping screws to connect each section of the lip. First big test was a 300 mile trip to dallas. Screws held up, but part of the lip with 3m tape did not and started to separate. I fixed that in the parking lot of my hotel simply laying down more rows of tape. It's very secure now. It's getting tested again tomorrow when I drive back to Amarillo.

I bought a lip from superautousa and it required the addition of at least 10 screws (10 holes) alongside the screws holding the bumper from the bottom. I checked in the 45E Facebook group and the people who responded said they ended up adding the holes.
Somewhere I read there was a lip spoiler that leveraged the existing bumper screws and not more than 4 new holes.
Has anyone found a spoiler that uses the existing bumper hardware.
Thank you

Does anyone know if an X5 G05 M-Sport 2019-2023 Pre-LCI front splitter will fit a 2024-2026 LCI model?
Has anyone tried to fit it at all?
Looking at pictures from Maxton website I can not see any noticeable differences. Of course I understand that doesn’t mean there aren’t any.
(FYI these are pics of the Maxton V.2)
Thanks!

I reckon they have posted a non LCI image on the LCI products. The bumpers are a completely different shape and they defs wont fit

Looking to get a lip now for my x5 in gloss black. What lip should I get from everyone’s experience? I like the AC Schnitzer lip but it is a bit too much for a lip. Any suggestions?

They call this the "Black Knight" kit off Aliexpress/Taobao. Its in CF.
Rear diffuser cmpletely blocks the rear kick-to-open sensor so this would be the trade off.
what inch wheels are those?

I may contribute. As far as I know, the lip is from a UK company Carbon Factory. It’s in black ABS but can be done in carbon too, if I’m not mistaken

The car used to be mine (nowadays my brother’s), but I feel I can share anyway ;)

The company offers matching side skirts, rear bumper (“diffuser”) trim and rear hatch / roof spoiler

According to my bro, fitment is 9.5/10, quality is 8/10; but generally he’s very pleased (especially, that you need to get reaaaaally close to the bumper to see the missing 0.5/10 & 2/10ths ;) )
