That E30 Map 3 has got to be strong judging from the #s Burger is showing.
That graph is showing Map 1, 2, and E30 map 6. I wish he had runs of 3, 4, and 5. The highest I’ve gone is E30 Map 4. I’ve only run Map 4 a couple of times and it pulled really strong. I run Map 3 on a regular basis and it is a lot of fun.

I just had the Eventuri Cold air intake installed today. I also have the RedStar catless downpipes and Valvetronic exhaust. So I’m going to take my X5 and run it on a dyno. I’ll definitely do a map 3 pull and map 4 pull. Maybe a map 5 pull. It’ll probably be a month or so before I do it but once I have the numbers I’ll post them on the forum.

Do you have a dragy as well? I would be more interested in those times rather than a dyno.

Looking forward to seeing your results. Please keep us updated. Good luck Man.

I've got the Pro coming from Amazon. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I'll be able to post a 0-60 time on a couple of maps.

Brake boosted launch makes a real difference on those 0-60 times with these vehicles but you likely allready know that. Just a general mention as some are going straight off idle as many of the car magazine tests do.

Ran 2 quick back to back 0-60 sprints while the steet was empty. A little over half a tank of E30 and 1 passenger in the car. Map 4, Sport plus, DSC off, brake applied, launch control active.

Hey guys,

I recently picked up a 2026 BMW X5 M60i and I’m currently going through the break-in period (just over 300 miles at the moment). After 1,200 miles I’m was planning to move forward with a performance upgrades.

I’ve done quite a bit of research going through posts here and other forums, but I wanted to ask straightforward for communities opinion on my planned route and so far what I've been told and recommended by tuners locally (I'm in SoCal, OC)
Option 1 what I’m leaning toward just because of compliance and regulation
- dÄHLer Stage 2 valved exhaust
- Femto unlock + full ECU flash (custom tune)
- xHP transmission tune
- Colder spark plugs
Option 2 what I really want
- Everything above, plus:
- High-flow / catless downpipes (Stage 3 configuration from dÄHLer)
Now the obvious, I understand that full ECU flash will void warranty and that catless downpipe will cause emission issues and display `check engine light`
  • What my ultimate goal for this vehicle, whish will be my daily driver for work commute and errands (~300-400 miles a week) is the following:
    - Mid to Low 3-second 0–60 range
    - Strong highway pulls (60–120 performance is important)
    - Quick, confident acceleration when getting in and out of gaps or corners
    - Deep, aggressive V8 sound: something you feel, not just hear. Something that will make people turn their heads and hear the sound
    - Noticeable pops and burbles on downshift / lift-off (aggressive but still controlled, not constant or excessive)
After talking to local reputable tuner (who the community recommended based on few threads) they recommended
  • Not going full flash at the moment because the engine is still fairly new and the full flash is rather very expensive, over $6k since there are 2 ECU that need to be tunned. So their recommendation was to wait longer until full flash becomes more publicly available and price goes down and instead go piggyback direction with JB4.
  • They also recommended going secondary catless downpipe to avoid emissions issues and keep the primary as is, stock. However my fear is that this route won't really give me that deep V8 with pops and burbles I'm looking for.
With all the above being said, I'm curious on your guys opinion. This is my first BMW owned and I went M60i route vs MC because of my long highway commute for work and didn't want to deal with stiff suspension, drive, etc. However, I do want the performance and sound that MC can produce so I went into this project knowing that I will be tunning the M60i.

Thanks all!
Your M60i will do 3.4 sec 0-60 per Draggy reports in stock configuration and 3.5 second run off idle with no brake boost by C&D(might have been R&T).

Car & Driver managed a best of 3.6 seconds 0-60 with a 1 foot rollout on a prepared track and vehicle. I managed a 3.35 & 3.36 with the 1 foot rollout with a full tank of gas, a passenger, and on a city street which caused some wheel slippage. So I’m good with the times I got without prepping the car or minimizing weight. Not to mention there is so many other variables that effect times such as temperature, altitude, tire pressure, etc.

Being that Car & Driver managed a 12.1 second quarter mile I’m pretty confident that I’d be somewhere in 11 second range. And that’s pretty amazing for a SUV weighing over 5300 pounds.

Those are great 0-60 metrics my friend and I would guess that you are doing a brake boosted launch vs the car mags that claim to do their tests "off idle" with the the standard 1 foot rollout.
Personally I have not had much difficulty over the years besting car magazine posted 1/4 mile elapsed times.
The M60i is significantly underrated(HP&TQ) as BMW does. I appears that the LCI M60i is capable of the same straightline metrics as the pre LCI top level X5MC and that is pretty cool indeed. The current M60i and X5M share the identical S68 4.4L TTV8 where the X5M is running a factory tune that favors the high end.
Good job Man!
