Hello, I just coded this with BimmerCode (PIA_FZG...) unavailable and it shows up under the car settings, however not in the instrument cluster. When I select it, the display area turns off. Any ideas why?
Walk us through in excruciating detail on what you did and show us what is and isn't working. Include pictures with clear indication of what you're illustrating. Identify all relevant equipment (both on car options as well as those used in coding) and software versions.

Often, the act of doing this self-identifies the problems. Bottom line, it will almost certainly work, there hasn't been anyone that has not ultimately not made ADV work under the right conditions.

Should we purchase the full version of Bimmercode for coding? Is there any limitation with free version?

It's my understanding that the free version is just a demo that shows what could be done, but you can't actually do anything until you pony up the money.

Correct. Free version is demo only, no coding can happen without the in app purchase of the full version.

Full vers is def worth it. I was spending 100-150 each time I had someone else code my X3 and F15 X5. Now it's great to do myself. Just wish Bimmercode would release new vers faster and included trunk close from key fob.

We should be seeing liftgate ECU support in Bimmercode 3.5 in the next 2-4 weeks. It's in beta testing right now and is working for G series vehicles. Not sure if it's also being added to other chassis.

I noticed Bimmercode on Android is now at version 2.14.1-6163, the App updated with new coding data last night. I'm also a beta tester - I'll check it out and see if anything new is available.

Android version 2.14.1-6163 of Bimmercode has nothing new, at least for the X5 G05.

Bimmercode are certainly taking their time in adding new programming functions. If I had my way, next on my wish list would be:
=> Ability to set driving mode to "Adaptive" at startup (as the default), or at least enable the memory function so that it remembers the driving mode last used.
=> Enable Sport+, Comfort+ driving modes, atm the 30d only has Eco, Comfort, Sport and Adaptive (no Sport+)

Has anyone figured out how to change the ambient light color? I know you will have to replace one of the selections via code. EX: It will still say blue but when you click on it then it will be yellow/red whatever you program it to.

For those who had already tried the "expert mode". What do you have been able to do/change/set with it in your G05?

Cool !
..any hints or clues on what else will be supported?

Hopefully some more options under the engine ECU, like adding Sport+ driving mode.

If you have the driving assistance package you can already enable it within version 3.4 in the expert mode.

I have a question: I am currently having an X3 and x5. I will be buying the dongle but when we purchase a subscription for this app is it locked down to 1 VIN ? Or can I use it for both the cars under same subscription.

Also, after subscribing, will individual changes have to be paid for or I can do any changes within what my VIN supports under one subscription purchase. Thanks.
Lastly unicarscan vs enet cable. Which one is better? In US I can get enet cable just off Amazon. Unicarscan will have shipping and delay.

Thanks guys.

There aren't any additional purchases I'm aware of... one purchase of bimmercode will enable you to make any available coding changes on any supported vehicle.

I'm currently using a Lightning to Ethernet adapter with an ENET cable, but I also have a OBDLink MX+ Bluetooth, which also works with bimmercode and should be easier to get in the US.
