P1 wroteI think folks are wanting the factory burbles like the M5 and M8 Comp had before they neutered them in 2019 due to some regulations. I don't think most want the aggressiveness of the gunshot sound of pops and bangs. This is something people actively want? Maybe if you drive a Civic, but I find them to be incredibly annoying.
weinerbarn wroteLet's see if you can help. On my wife's M, the exhaust sounds normal when it first starts. But when you press the M2 button on the steering wheel, all of a sudden those dumb burbles start coming from the exhaust.I think folks are wanting the factory burbles like the M5 and M8 Comp had before they neutered them in 2019 due to some regulations. Is there a way I can turn off the burbles when in M2 mode? Car sounds like it's owned by a 21-year old otherwise.
P1 wroteGo into the M setup and change the M2 button presets so the engine is not set to Sport Plus. I don't think you get that in Sport but you could assure you don't get it in efficient. This can all be done from iDrive Car > M Menu > Configure M2. Then you just pick the presets that suit your style.Let's see if you can help. At least it does when I tried it.
Scuba11 wroteHow did you revert? What needed changed?I had this done to my f95 but had to revert because of a charging system error that would not clear. Also I did notice the engine would idle at 1k. Shifting from park to reverse or drive was not pleasant.
weinerbarn wroteI personally did not revert, bimmerworks romania did it remotely. I do not know what they changed. I will say the vehicle did sound like a proper M car. It was not obnoxious. How did you revert? What needed changed?
GotBeemed wroteI did mine too in F95 since I am full downpipes etc it sounded amazing but I had that charging error in iDrive so he had to revert everything to stock like before.I would be elated if anyone who had this done by the maximking would come forward to talk about their experience. I have personally not heard of too many success stories. Meaning that maximking had to revert back to the original programming due to false errors being generated in the infotainment system. Considering maximking does have a post for this service for sale on the forum, I think it would be good to isolate it as being a mod that is reliable. Thanks.
I would do again if I have no errors.
Scuba11 wroteI had the same charging system error. ANd yes shifting is not nice.I had this done to my f95 but had to revert because of a charging system error that would not clear. Also I did notice the engine would idle at 1k. Shifting from park to reverse or drive was not pleasant.

r207 wroteHe just reverts changes as in stock so car is same again.I had the same charging system error. ANd yes shifting is not nice.

Shifting not nice because RPM in neutral stay in 1000 RPM ( problem is to resolve charging system error - rpm can be adjusted and work usually as normal )
r207 wroteNot sure if you need help doing that. Assuming if you paid to have it done, you already have a Windows laptop and ethernet cable available. If you don't already have E-Sys software loaded, I can send you a link to the software and tell you how to grab what is needed. Let me know.I can do the backup my car is still done. Power issue still there
Maybe we can get a connection to a BMW engineer?
Scuba11 wrotewhat year is your car? i reached out to them and they're saying it isn't affecting cars made in 2022 and beyond.I had this done to my f95 but had to revert because of a charging system error that would not clear.
