Was it a pretty straight forward installation? Just unbolt/unscrew the standard rear roof piece and bolt in the M version rear visor? Thanks...

You need to check your local supplier.
Price can be different between US market and your Australian market.

Thanks for the pics. Much nicer than the standard spoiler. Where did you buy it and how much did it cost? Did you fit it yourself?

Cheers

Yes, 2 clips, 1 on each side.
I'll take pictures when I get mine back from the paintshop.

Attached is the underside of the factory installed spoiler that comes on the X5M. The two white clips are on each side just about midway down. And boy did they hold on pretty well for dear life. Be prepared for a loud pop when each one lets go. I thought I broke the spoiler when I heard it.

Sorry to use you picture but did you have to trim the 3 tabs that stick up that I have Circled? Mine wouldn't set right at all on top of the 3rd Brake light without trimming them down.

Why did you remove it from your X5M out of interest?

Then you were installing it incorrectly. Those 3 tabs need to connect to the proper locations in the lower part of the spoiler near the third brake light. Keeps away the squeaks and rattles.

I contacted BMWPARTPROS.COM but they have yet to get back to me to confirm if the part will fit.. Although after seeing your pics, it clearly is a direct bolt on.

I just need to figure out where to buy from?

For the UK guy's on here, I contacted BMW in Colchester and they quoted £820 including vat; that also includes fitting. The Spoiler comes in Black so it will cost extra if you require it to be painted. According to the BMW parts guy it's only a 25min job, therefore you wont save much if you fit it yourself (approx £70+).
So all in all quite an expensive mod (well, in the UK it is).
