r33_RGSport wroteWas it a pretty straight forward installation? Just unbolt/unscrew the standard rear roof piece and bolt in the M version rear visor? Thanks...Just did one for local customer.
HomeIn2 wroteYeap. Exactly. Was it a pretty straight forward installation? Just unbolt/unscrew the standard rear roof piece and bolt in the M version rear visor? Thanks...
atlas wroteYou need to check your local supplier.Looks pretty good. Rough cost?
Price can be different between US market and your Australian market.
Cheers
hodgson-p@hotmail.co.uk wroteLooks great, look forward to change to it as well.I've just fitted it to mine and think it looks good
I can see you have carbon diffuser as well, look great
r33_RGSport wroteLook great I've also ordered one. Was there any clips to remove?HomeIn2 wroteYeap. Exactly. Was it a pretty straight forward installation? Just unbolt/unscrew the standard rear roof piece and bolt in the M version rear visor? Thanks...
VetteZ06 wroteYes, 2 clips, 1 on each side.Look great I've also ordered one. Was there any clips to remove?
I'll take pictures when I get mine back from the paintshop.
VetteZ06 wroteAttached is the underside of the factory installed spoiler that comes on the X5M. The two white clips are on each side just about midway down. And boy did they hold on pretty well for dear life. Be prepared for a loud pop when each one lets go. I thought I broke the spoiler when I heard it.Look great I've also ordered one. Was there any clips to remove?
I' wroteI bought it from Williams bmw Liverpool mate then had it painted and fitted it myselfThanks for the pics. Much nicer than the standard spoiler. Where did you buy it and how much did it cost? Did you fit it yourself?
Cheers
BobsM3Coupe wroteSorry to use you picture but did you have to trim the 3 tabs that stick up that I have Circled? Mine wouldn't set right at all on top of the 3rd Brake light without trimming them down.VetteZ06 wroteAttached is the underside of the factory installed spoiler that comes on the X5M. BobsM3Coupe wroteWhy did you remove it from your X5M out of interest?Attached is the underside of the factory installed spoiler that comes on the X5M. hodgson-p@hotmail.co.uk wroteThen you were installing it incorrectly. Those 3 tabs need to connect to the proper locations in the lower part of the spoiler near the third brake light. Keeps away the squeaks and rattles.Sorry to use you picture but did you have to trim the 3 tabs that stick up that I have Circled? Mine wouldn't set right at all on top of the 3rd Brake light without trimming them down.
I just need to figure out where to buy from?
So all in all quite an expensive mod (well, in the UK it is).
